DDC Bandipora reviews arrangements for PMJAY implementation

Bandipora/Oct, 27: District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Saturday chaired a meeting here to finalize the arrangements for implementation of Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), in the district.
SSP Sheikh Zulfkar Azad, ACD Jahangir Khandey, CMO Dr Bilqis Mir, CEO, Deputy CEO, District Medical Officer ISM, District Panchayat Officer, Deputy CMO, Medical Superintendent, BMOs, BDOs and CDPOs attended the meeting.
PMJAY is being rolled out in the district from 1st November 2018 for coverage of all eligible families in the district to offer benefit coverage of Rs 5 Lakh per family without any cap on family size and includes 1350 packages covering surgery, medical and daycare treatment including medicines and diagnostics.
A control room has been established in the office of District Development Commissioner to monitor daily activities including outreach, information-education-communication, registration of beneficiaries on BIS and coverage by providing Golden Record Card. The process of empanelment of hospitals has been completed in the district.
The DDC directed for constitution of village level teams for reaching out to every eligible family. The teams will have officials drawn from various departments including Health, Social Welfare, Rural Development and Education, among others. The district grievance redressal committee will address the issues and concerns raised by the public during the implementation of the scheme.
On November 01 Ayushman Bharat Day will be celebrated at district, sub-district and block headquarters as well as by municipal committees to spread awareness about the scheme. Joint teams will start door-to-door activities from 2nd November which will be completed on 15th November. Golden Card generation will take off from 5th November by empanelled hospitals and CSCs.
Sub-Division level committees headed by SDM Gurez, SDM Sumbal, DMO-ISM and ACD have been constituted for Gurez-Tulel, Hajin-Sumbal, Ajas, and Bandipore-Aloosa tehsils respectively, while as BMOs will function as conveners of the committees to oversee implementation and organize outreach activities.
During the meeting, DDC stressed on training, capacity building, team-building, IEC and time-bound progress monitoring by concerned nodal officers. He also laid emphasis on the involvement of schools and Anganwadi centres in the mission to ensure percolation of benefits to all eligible families in the district.
A monitoring and inspection squad has also been constituted to inspect the implementation on the ground. A dedicated vehicle will also be launched for public awareness.
