Srinagar: Batagund Sports Club Tuesday defeated Green edge Bunpora Sudergund in a thrilling and exciting knockout cricket match of Langate Premier League (LPL) at cricket ground Shartgund Payeen in Langate area of Kupwara district.
Reports said Batagund Sports Club won the toss and chose to bat first scoring 150 for the loss of five wickets in limited sixteen overs. Chasing a victory target of 151 runs in sixteen overs Green Edge Bunpora Sundergund was bundled out for just 117 runs in 14 overs. Batagund Sports Club won the match by 34 runs. From Batagund Sports Club Zahoor Ahmad was the highest scorer with 51 runs and took three wickets as a bowler. He was declared man of the match.
