Kargil: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan Tuesday directed the Chief Education Officer (CEO), Kargil to identify the land for construction of a new Girls Hostel and submit the report to the concerned quarters at an earliest so that the fund can be released under SAMAGRA scheme for the purpose.
This instruction was given by the CEC in a meeting convened to review and discuss the physical and financial achievements of various schemes being implemented in the Education Department in district Kargil.
Threadbare discussion was held on the pace of progress of ongoing works under SSA and RMSA. Pending works under KGBV was also discussed in detail.
It was informed in the meeting that the construction work on Girls Hostel Ponikhar under RMSA is in full swing and is in final stage.
The CEC directed the Executing Agencies to gear up their field functionaries and speed up the pace of work on all the ongoing development works taken up under SSA and RMSA besides other schemes in the Education sector in the district. He also stressed on utilization of funds in full and judicious manner.
The meeting was attended by the CEO, Mohammed Mussa and other senior officers of Education Department besides, District Youth Services and Sports Officer.
