New India Code Portal: Govt designates Sethi as Nodal Officer for uploading legislations

Srinagar/Oct, 20: The Government has designated Achal Sethi, Special Secretary to the Government, Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs as Chief Nodal Officer for uploading of Acts and Subordinate Legislation on New India Code Portal.
According to an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the Chief Nodal Officer shall coordinate with the Nodal Officers of various Departments and he shall be overall responsible for supervising and monitoring the progress of uploading State Acts and Subordinate Legislation on New India Code Portal.
He shall also act as the main contact point for coordination with Central Government Departments/Ministries/NIC etc, it said adding that all Departments shall appoint an appropriate officer as Nodal Officer for coordinating various activities and uploading of State Acts and Subordinate Legislation pertaining to their Departments.
