Srinagar, Oct 19: Two militants were killed in a brief exchange of fire in Kralhaar area near the Baramulla railway station in the outskirts of Baramulla town.
A senior police official said “two militants were killed in brief shootout in Kralhaar area of Baramulla town in the town outskirts on Srinagar-Baramulla highway. When a SUV vehicle they were traveling in was asked to stop at a naka setup by both Police and CRPF, the militants fired upon the police party and in brief exchange of fire two militants were killed.”
He said 201AK rifle, 2 Chinese pistols and other arms and ammunition was recovered from the procession of slain militants. The identity of slain militants is yet to be ascertained”, he added.
