Advisors Kumar, Ganai review developmental, security scenario in Doda, Kishtwar

Kishtwar : Advisors to the Governor, K Vijay Kumar and Khurshid Ahmed Ganai Friday visited Kishtwar and Doda districts to take stock of developmental activities in these districts besides reviewing preparedness for ensuing Panchayat Elections.
At Kishtwar the advisors convened a meeting with security agencies including Police and army officials to discuss the overall law & order scenario in the district.
SSP Kishtwar briefed the Advisors about the prevailing security situation and steps taken to ensure better police-public relations besides informing about security arrangements made for the upcoming Panchayat Elections.
The advisors later reviewed developmental scenario of the district. Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana briefed the meeting about the physical and financial achievements of the current and expenditure under CAPEX Budget including blacktopping of 75 km Road length, position of GDC Chatroo building, 100 bedded IPD building at District Hospital, Kishtwar, Polytechnic College building, SC Hostel, establishment of JNV in Kishtwar, latest status of Naigad Water Supply Scheme where pipe lines were laid down upto 21.5 km out of 32 km, 12 far flung villages including Machail were electrified out of 44, and left out villages were provided Solars and Generator with the assurance that all villages will be electrified by the end of this financial year.
To further uplift the developmental process in the district and to provide better amenities to the people, the Deputy Commissioner put forth various issues that need intervention of the government including release of additional funding in key areas besides other languishing projects. It was also requested to look into issue regarding repairs of dilapidated bridges constructed by Forest Department since in year 2015 an order has been issued where forest department has been directed not to undertake any bridge work.
At Doda, Advisors held a meeting with top brass of police, Army, BSF and CRPF to discuss the overall law and order in the district. SSP Doda briefed about the overall security scenario in the area and the development in place for counting scheduled tomorrow.
Deputy Commissioner Anshul Garg briefed the advisors about the status of various developmental activities being undertaken in various sectors including PDD, Health, PHE, Education, Sports, Forest, Agriculture, Horticulture, Road etc. He also briefed the meeting about the physical and financial achievements registered in the current fiscal till date. The Deputy Commissioner put forth various issues which need intervention of the government including release of additional funding in key areas.
Advisor Khurshid Ahmed Ganai while addressing the officials in both districts said in construction and blacktopping of various roads under R&B, JKPCC, PMGSY and other schemes all the concerned agencies have to work with added zeal. He directed to achieve the desired target within the set timeframe.
He further directed to ensure sufficient and accurate dumping of ration/food grains during winter season in all far-flung areas of the district and any kind of slackness if reported shall be taken strongly.
Speaking to the officers, Advisor Vijay Kumar said although districts are leading in few sectors but still a lot needs to be done particularly relating to health and education sector while taking into consideration the rough and difficult topography of the districts.
He said focused attention should be accorded to complete the ongoing works in a time bound manner. He directed the agencies to gear up the pace of works since working season during current financial year has been limited.
Later, score of deputations and delegations from both the districts met the advisors and put forth their demands likewise early start of construction of the roads where tenders been floated, estd. of Women Degree College , Early completion of Nai Gad Water supply project, posting of doctors particularly at least one gynecologist in far off areas of Marwah, Warwan, Padder, Dachhan, Bonjwahetc, Establishment of Tehsil Secretariat , filling of vacancies in health and education sector, development of tourist spots , full-fledged building of Tehsil Office Padyarna, upgradation of Naibat and veterinary Sub Centre at Thakrie, recruitment in Power projects in transparent manner, handing over Sinthon- Patnitop Road to BEACON , 24 hours water and electricity facility at Sarthal Mata Mandir, release of MGNREGA payments, release of pending honorarium of VDC’s, opening of dispensaries at remotest places, alternate road to relieve heavy influx of traffic at Main bazar road, start of work of Singpore – Vailoo Tunnel besides other demands.
local legislators at Doda including MLC Sham Lal Bhagat, MLC Naresh Kumar Gupta also apprised advisors of various issues, including vacancies of doctors and medical staff augmentation of bed capacity in district hospital in Doda, augmentation of water and power supply, requirement of ambulances , construction of Doda-Kapran road, installation of street lights in the towns, completion of Indoor Stadium, completion of Medical college, Upgradation of Batote to Kishtwar Road, Circular of Road in the town, Establishment of a women’s college, starting of PG classes, convert sericulture garden into public park, shifting of sericulture garden, staff and driver quarter at Hospital, forest clearance.
Advisors gave patient hearing to all the delegations patiently and assured them that their genuine demands will be taken up for speedy Redressal.
With regard to ensuing Panchayat election, Deputy Commissioners briefed the chair in details about the number of Panch Constituencies and Polling station and the arrangements under taken for successful completion of election.
Among others who attended the meeting at Kishtwar include Commandant 9 Sector RR, Rohan Anand, SSP Kishtwar Rajinder Kumar Gupta, ADDC Kishtwar Imam Din, ADC Kishtwar Pawan Kumar Parihar, CPO Kishtwar, Yasir L.A Balwan, GM CVPP and other civil and police officers.
At Doda meetings were attended by SSP Doda, Dy Inspector General Police DKR Range, Barigadier 4 Sector RR C/O 56 APO, OSD to Hon’ble Advisors, ADDC Doda, ADC Doda, ADC Bhaderwah besides other officers from Police and Security agencies, District and Sectoral Officers.
