DDC Ang reviews progress under CAPEX Budget, Flagship progs’

Ang : The District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik Thursday chaired a meeting to review the physical and financial achievements of various departments under District CAPEX Budget 2018 – 19.
The DDC took sector wise review of progress of projects undertaken by different departments/agencies under District CAPEX Budget allocation and other centrally sponsored schemes. He reviewed the schemes of Rural Development Department, Irrigation and Flood Control, R&B, PMGSY, Health, PDD, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries Education, Youth Services & Sports, PHE, Sheep and Animal Husbandry and others.
The meeting was informed that an allocation of Rs 199.5 crore has been sanctioned for the district under CAPEX Budget 2018 – 19. It was given out that out of an availability of Rs 81.58 crores, an expenditure of 68.65 crore has been made till the end of September, 2018 which is 84.14% of the total availability.
With regard to the progress achieved under MGNREGA an expenditure of Rs 5554.06 lacs has been booked upto the end of September, 2018 besides a liability of 5295.56 lacs has been cleared out of the previous years.
Under PMAY against 2042 BPL families, 1st instalment of Rs 893.00 lacs, under 2nd instalment Rs 525.00 lacs and under 3rd instalment Rs 128.00 lacs has been disbursed among the beneficiaries. Under the scheme 336 house have been completed. Under MGNREGA job cards have been issued to 90587 workers.
Under Youth Services and Sports sector, an expenditure of Rs 2.30 lacs has been made, out of the availability of Rs 5.66 lacs, for the year 2018 – 19. Similarly, under Khelo India Program, 36 play fields have been identified for repairs and renovation purpose.
The meeting was informed 25 Kms of road length has been macadamized and macadamization is in progress on 30 kms under PMGSY sector.
Likewise, the progress under Power, R&B, PHE, I&FC, Health, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Forest, Fisheries, and Sheep Husbandry was also reviewed and progress was found satisfactory.
Detailed discussions were also held on various issues related to effective implementation of vital schemes and projects in the district. The DDC directed the concerned officers to mobilise all the sources for effective and timely completion of developmental projects.
The DDC directed the concerned Executing Agencies to speed up the construction work on various Projects. He emphasized upon the officers to ensure accountability and timely completion of all the projects. He also asked for the reconciliation among intending departments and executing agencies for better results and timely completion of the works.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, ADCs, CEOs of PDA, VDA and KDA, General Manager DIC, SDMs of Kokernag, Dooru, Pahalgam and Bijbehara, SEs of PDD and R&B, CPO, CMO Anantnag, CEO, CAHO, Executive Engineers of R&B Division, Anantnag, Vailo, Qazigund, Exen PHE, Bijbehara, Qazigund. LBM JK bank and other district officers of various departments including Engineers of Irrigation & Flood Control.
