DC B’la for timely digitization of land rev records

Baramulla : Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash Thursday convened a meeting of revenue officers here to review the implementation of Digital India Land Records modernization program and other revenue matters.
Regional Director Land Records North Kashmir Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, Director Planning Baramulla, AG Malik, ADC Baramulla, Farooq Ahmad Baba ADC Sopore, Ashiq Hussain Lilly, ACR, SDMs, Tehsildars and various other concerned officers were present during the meeting.
On the occasion, threadbare discussion was held with regard to the digitization of land revenue records wherein the DC stressed upon the concerned to make all requisite arrangements for its execution. Moreover, other revenue related matters including the writing of Jamabandies and Girdawaries, attestation of all pending mutations and in respect of land acquired by different projects were also discussed during the meeting.
Meanwhile, the revenue matters regarding the necessary scanning of records/quality checking, progress regarding the distribution of passbooks during which the DC was appraised by the concerned about the initiatives were taken in this regard.
DC stressed for removal of encroachment on Kahcharai and State land besides directed the concerned Tehsildars to identify the same into their respective jurisdictions. He also urged for the updation of inventory of Migrant property and other assets.
