Srinagar: A government school teacher was suspended for thrashing a minor student in north Kashmir district of Bandipora.
Official sources said that a teacher of Government Middle School Qazipora in Bandipora was placed under suspension after being found guilty of beating up a 8-year-old boy on Saturday.
“It has come to my notice that a student of your school was given corporal punishment. It has also been learnt that the said student was hospitalized. Till pending enquiry you are placed under suspension with immediate effect,” read an order issued by ZEO Quil zone Bandipora.
A student, identified as Mohmin Nabi Wani, was on Saturday hospitalized after he was allegedly thrashed by his English teacher for whistling in the classroom.
