Feroz Khan reviews stock position of essential commodities, medicare facilities in Kargil

Kargil : Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor (CEC), Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan Thursday reviewed the stock supply position of essential commodities and medi-care facilities available in the district Kargil for winter season in a meeting held here.
Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Vikas Kundal, Chief Medical Officer, Mohammad Ibrahim Khan, Assistant Director, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affair, Nissar Hussain, Assistant Director Information, Abdul Ahad Bhat and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
Threadbare discussion was held on the availability of LPG Cylinders, draft transfer policy of LAHDC, Kargil, heating facilities in every health institutions of the district, hard coke and fire wood dumping in Sub Division Zanskar.
Detailed discussion was also held on up gradation of Kargil Airport. The Chairman assured the meeting that the issues related to development of Kargil Airport will be taken up with the Air Force soon.
The Deputy Commissioner briefed the Chairman, LAHDC about the availability of stock position in the district Kargil. He informed that about 90 percent essential commodities are available in the district and more than 85 percent medicines are also available in the district. He informed the meeting that hundred percent medicines will be available by October 15, 2018. It was also given out in the meeting that sufficient gas cylinders are available in the district.
Addressing the meeting, the Chairman asked the concerned to work with utmost dedication and ensure to achieve the targets in full. He asked the concerned departments to ensure adequate supply of ration and kerosene to meet the public demand. Feroz Khan also asked the Deputy Commissioner to come up with the draft transfer policy of LAHDC, Kargil for its scrutiny.
Meanwhile, the Chairman, LAHDC, Kargil also convened another meeting with the officers of Power Development Department (PDD) to discuss the issues related to supply of electricity faculties to Taisuru Block from Mini Hydro Electric Project Sangrah.
After threadbare discussion and examining the existing position of Mini Hydro Electric Project Sangrah, the Chairman, CEC, LAHDC, Kargil asked the concerned to ensure power supply to Taisuru block at an earliest after completing the minor repair of electricity lines which are damaged at various places.
The meeting was attended by the Councillors of LAHDC, Parkachik, ThasgamThuina and Taisuru Constituencies, Executive Engineer, RM& RE Division, Kargil and Project Director, KREDA, Kargil.
