Jammu : A one day annual picnic cum orientation camp for fresher students of Ladakh was hosted by Surinsar-Mansar Development Authority (SMDA) here at picturesque lake side destination of Surinsar.
Over three hundred students under the aegis of All Ladakh Student Association Jammu (ALSAJ) thronged the lake side tourist spot. The prime focus of the annual picnic was to familiarize the fresher of Ladakh to the local environment. The students appreciated the newly constructed tourist facilities including a park spread over sixteen kanal and an Amphitheatre. The visitors performed a number of cultural activities showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Ladakh. The fresher meet was organised by Lobzang Nurboo, President and StanzinLakchok and Jigmet Padma Vice Presidents of ALSAJ.
