Board Examinations: Div Com (K) reviews arrangements with DCs

Srinagar : The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan Monday directed all Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to ensure that the upcoming examinations of 10th, 11th and 12th be conducted in a free and fair manner, across the Kashmir Division.

The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir made these directions while reviewing the arrangements made for the conduct of forthcoming 10th, 11th and 12th examinations in the valley.

It was informed that 12th class examination is starting from October 22 in which 69000 candidates are appearing at 622 centers, similarly 10th class examination starts from October 24 in which 55000 candidates are appearing at 541 centers and 11th class examinations will start from October 26 in which 62000 candidates are appearing at 539 centers across Kashmir division.

The meeting discussed various measures taken and foolproof arrangement made to ensure fair and smooth conduct of the examinations.

For safe housing of Question and Answer Papers, the Divisional Commissioner directed all Deputy Commissioners and District Police Heads to create strong room at concerned police stations and DCs will review all arrangements with concerned officers on regular basis for the deployment of magistracy, police contingents, flying squads and other necessary arrangements. Deputy Commissioners will also establish Joint Control Rooms in their respective District Administration offices to provide necessary information to concerned officers as well as candidates and send daily based reports to the Divisional Commissioner office.

He directed DCs, Director DSEK and Secretary JKBOSE to deploy adequate and dedicated staff members, observers and magisterial officers for smooth and hassle-free conduct of all upcoming examinations.

Divisional Commissioners impressed upon the concerned authorities to work in unison and adhere to the instructions in letter and spirit. He asked them to ensure all requisite facilities including heating system, electricity, wash rooms, transportation and other necessary facilities are provided to the candidates besides elaborate arrangements are put in place for smooth conduct of examinations.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Syed Abid Rashid Shah, Director DSEK, Secretary JKBOSE, GM JKSRTC, Joint Secretary JKBOSE, CEO Srinagar, Police Officers and other concerned officials were present in the meeting whereas all Deputy Commissioners of the Kashmir Division participated the meeting through video conferencing.
