Khelo India: Football, Discus & Athletics competitions held at Samba

Samba : Badhori Football club Monday defeated HSS Khara Madana in Football fixture in the on-going Block level sports competitions of Purmandal & Bari Brahmana being organised under Kehlo India campaign here at the Sports Stadium.
Around 141 players participated in athletics and football competitions as per the venue in-charge Vijay Singh Salathia, ZEPO Ramgarh.
He said a total of 93 participants took part in athletics and 48 in football category as two matches in football were held and both the matches were won by Badhori Football group in Under 17 and above 20 category. Discuss throw, Long Jump matches were included in athletics. The final competitions under athletics shall be held played on 03 Oct.
On occasion, chief Guest ADC Arun Manhas, congratulated the winning team. He said winning and losing is temporary emotion of the game, however the development of character is permanent feature of the game. He said youth should grab this golden opportunity by both the hands and take benefits from the Khelo-India Scheme sports for peace and development, a Govt. of India Initiative.
The sports competitions of Block Purmandal and Bari Brahmana will also witness events under female category from 03 October in Kabbadi, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Badminton, Wrestling, Athletic, Football in U17, U20 and above 20 3 age group.
