Zanskar : The Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Vikas Kundal Saturday conducted an extensive tour of the district and inspected pace of various ongoing developmental projects.
The DC visited Haftal Hydro Power Project and took stock of its functioning. He also inspected canal head work and directed the concerned to restore the electricity immediately.
During the tour, the Deputy Commissioner also inspected the ongoing construction work of the Degree College building at Padum. He directed the concerned to accelerate the pace of work on the project and complete it in a stipulated time frame.
The Deputy Commissioner visited Block Development Officers (BDOs) office CIC centre, Tehsil library Higher Secondary School, Zanskar and enquired about the facilities being provided to the students in the library.
He directed the BDOs to work with utmost dedication and ensure timely completion of all ongoing developmental works in the area. He also asked them to conduct a field survey of subdivision Zanskar and prepare detailed project reports about the new projects and submit the same to the concerned authorities.
Later, the DC convened a meeting with the officers of the Revenue Department. The meeting was attended by the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Zanskar and other Tehsil officers.
