Srinagar: Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) Shopian Friday organized a credit mela in which Rs 1.20 crore were disbursed among beneficiaries in 23 sanctioned cases under Prime Minister Employment Generation Program (PMEGP).
Cluster Head J&K Bank, Mohammad Aslam Ganie presided over the function. Director RSETI Shopian Mohammad Sultan Reshi, Lead District Manager Abdul Rashid Mir, concerned officials and a large number of entrepreneurs were also present on the occasion.
On the occasion, the Cluster Head stressed for building a vibrant and enriching entrepreneurial environment in the State and congratulated RSETI for the training program in which 23 potential beneficiaries were imparted necessary skills.
He impressed upon the participants to hone their skills to match the market demands. He also highlighted the importance of training programs structured for budding beneficiaries.
He said prudent business principles, sound commercial practices, effective marketing strategies, and upgrading skills to latest technology and innovations are must to develop successful entrepreneurship culture.
