Srinagar : Principal Secretary Health & Medical Education, Atal Dulloo Wednesday convened a meeting here to review the physical and financial progress of various programs under National Health Mission in the state.
Mission Director NHM, J&K, Bhupinder Kumar; Financial Advisor and CAO, SHS, Khem Raj; Joint Director (P&S) H&ME, Madan Lal; Program Managers from State Health Society, NHM, J&K and representatives from J&K Medical Supplies Corporation, Directorate of Health Services Kashmir and Development Partner NIPI-Jhpiego attended the meeting.
The meeting was briefed in detail regarding various programs under implementation in the State like Maternal Health, Child Health, RBSK, ASHA, NUHM, Quality Assurance, RKSK, Communicable & Non-Communicable Disease Control Program.
Principal Secretary directed for implementation of free drugs and free diagnostics policy in all the public health facilities of the State in letter and spirit for better patient care and to reduce out of pocket expenditure.
It was said under Prime Minister’s National Dialysis Program six dialysis centres are functional in the State at DH Anantnag, DH Baramulla, JLNM Hospital Srinagar, Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu, DH Udhampur and DH Rajouri. The Principal Secretary directed for the early start of dialysis services in other nine approved districts of the State.
Dulloo also issued instructions for National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) Certification of five District Hospitals of the State by the end of the current financial year that includes Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu; District Hospital Udhampur; District Hospital Leh, District Hospital Baramulla and District Hospital Anantnag.
