Anantnag : District Magistrate Anantnag Saturday directed all the licensed arms holders in the district to deposit their arms/ammunition in their respective police stations within three days which shall remain deposited till the completion of upcoming elections.
The order has been issued to ensure smooth conduct of ensuing Municipal/Panchayat elections 2018.
Any violation of the order shall be dealt strictly under relevant provisions of law, the order said.
