Srinagar: Alleging that centre’s muscular policy in Kashmir is not working at all, former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said expressing outrage, shock and condemnation will not bring solace to the families of the victim police personnel who were killed after their abduction in Shopian district early Friday morning.
However, she said, dialogue which was the only way forward seems now a distant dream.
Taking to micro blogging site twitter president of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba said “ Three more policemen have lost their lives to militant bullets. Outrage, shock & condemnation will be expressed by all of us on expected lines. Unfortunately, it brings no solace to the families of the victims”.
“Clearly, with the rise in kidnapping of police personnel and their families, Centre’s muscular policy is not working at all. Dialogue, the only way forward seems to be a distant dream for now”, she further tweeted.
Militants abducted two policemen and a Special Police Officer (SPO) from their houses in Shopian and later shot them dead today.
