Srinagar : Atal Dulloo, Principal Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here Tuesday.
Dullo briefed Governor about several important administrative matters relating to the Health and Medical Education Department and efforts of the Department in providing good health care services to the people particularly in the far-flung areas of the State.
Governor urged Dullo to expedite process for filling up the pending vacancies in the health and medical education department to overcome the acute and recurring human resource shortage in this critical sector and particularly stressed equipping Primary Health Centres with requisite infrastructure. He emphasised strengthening of Institutions of Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) workers in order to achieve 100 % institutional deliveries and for effective postnatal care of mother and child.
