Kavinder Gupta chairs Rogi Kalyan Samiti meet

Jammu : MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta on Saturday chaired the meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS), Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar here and took stock of working of the hospital.
Kavinder took a detailed review of physical and financial achievements of the hospital and was apprised of progress register in outdoor/Indoor Patients departments, Major/Minor Operations, Deliveries, Lapro ligations, LSCS, Lab Test, Ultrasound, X-Ray, ECG, JSY and RBSK.
The meeting was informed about the requirements and demands for further upgradation and improvement in the hospital functioning.
Taking stock of the achievements registered so far and other works done in the hospital, Kavinder expressed satisfaction over the improvement in overall functioning of the hospital.
He said the institution is witnessing heavy rush of patients and necessary steps should be taken to meet their requirements ,adding that, the doctors and paramedics should work with a missionary zeal to provide best medicare to the patients.
Medical Superintendent, Dr ADS Manhas briefed the meeting about the works done, revenue generated and expenditure besides achievements and steps underway to improve medicare in the hospital. He also threw light on the progress on decisions taken in the previous meetings.
It was further informed that DEIC is fully functional in the hospital which provides free dental services (installed High-tech dental chair), expert physiotherapy services for developmentally delayed and disabled children, psychological and behaviour disorder. DEIC provides comprehensive care to the children of age 0-18 years under one roof and play area has been designed to create comfortable sessions.
Other achievements were highlighted included installation of color doppler in ultra sound section, A-Scan and Keratormeter functional in Eye Section, Help Desk established in OPD and Emergency Section, Mera Aaspatall application started for public opinion, Dialysis of patients already started in the hospital and 379 Dialysis done till August 18, Haemophilia treatment started, New ENT operating Microscope installed on OT, Birth Companions are allowed in Labour Room and Patient information system made functional in Gynae OPD.
Members of the committee also put forth various issues for further improving facilities for the patients.
Kavinder also stressed upon cleanliness in the hospital premises so that “Swach Bharat Abhiyaan” could be promoted.
