DC Kupwara urges youth to become entrepreneurs

Kupwara : District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir advised youth to establish income generating units and create employment for themselves and for others. DDC said rather than seeking jobs, by imbibing entrepreneurship spirit, youth should become job creators.
The DDC was speaking at a function organised by JKEDI here Saturday. The function was held at the conclusion of the training program organised under Himayat and Seed Capital Fund Scheme. As many as 63 trainees concluded their 18 days training under Himayat Scheme while as 73 trainees got training under Seed Capital Fund Scheme.
It was given out that all the candidates including female trainees were imparted training in manufacturing, service and agro-allied sectors during the training program.
The DDC suggested the participants to select any kind of business of their choice and put in all efforts based on training to develop it into successful venture. The DDC said district Kupwara has also vast potential in milk processing, walnut processing besides organic vegetable , for which he assured full support from the district administration.
The DDC said youth should avail benefits from resources and open units to better equip themselves to face future challenges. He shared his experiences with the trainees who came from Kralpora, Lolab, Handwara, Langate, Rajwar, Mawar, Warno, Tangdar and other areas.
Among other Lead District Manager Kupwara, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Nodal Officer JKEDI Mohd Nouman, Entrepreneurs and Trainees were also present on the occasion.
