Srinagar : The government on Wednesday evening said that proposed municipal elections will be held from 1st-15th October and Panchayat elections from 8th November-4th December this year.
Authoritative sources told Kashmir Horizon that based on considered assesment, the elections will be conducted with Municipal Elections from 1st-15th October and the Panchayat elections between 8th November-4th December this year.
Saying that there is no confusion in the decision taken for conducting the elections, the sources said that the decision to hold elections was taken after detailed discussions including logistic and security aspects and positions taken by various political parties and formations.
