Dir FCS&CA holds maiden interaction with ration dealers

Jammu : Director, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs(FCS&CA) Amit Sharma, Tuesday addressed a gathering of the Ration Dealers of winter capital wherein lot of interaction took place and issues were exchanged both ends in a very cordial atmosphere.
The ‘Interactive Meet’ was organized for the first time to hold a direct talk with Ration Dealers of the Region.
The Director was the Chief Guest at the session attended by Deputy Director Food & Rationing Kulraj Singh and Assistant Director Mills Ranjit Singh Chib.
President of the Association Prabhu Dayal Sharma, alongwith Sanjay Avril, General Secretary, Arun Chibber, Sikander Hussain and Briju Sharma talked about various challenges and issues faced by the Ration Dealers in Jammu region.

Meanwhile, he also urged the dealers to refrain from malpractices such as diversion of Ration meant for poor, non-maintenance of accounts, under-weighing or selling sub-standard ration.
At the same time, he also assured them to get their grievances redressed at all levels of FCS&CA Department. He asked them to feel free to come to him and expose such Depot holders/Dealers/Officials who are spoiling the image of department due to their negative acts.
He further assured them that their core issues relating to timely payment of carriage/commission or advance deduction of commission charges, deliverance mechanism for deliverance of Ration supplies to the shops/depots from departmental stores, provision of fine quality of atta by Millers and above all, implementation of Rehber-e-Khurak scheme by the department shall be taken up with authorities for early redress.
