BJP’s Darakhshan meets Guv at Raj Bhavan Srinagar

Srinagar : Dr Darakhshan Andrabi, State BJP Spokesperson and Chairperson of Waqf Development Committee, Ministry of Minority Affairs met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here Monday.
Dr. Andrabi discussed various issues relating to public welfare, women empowerment and ameliorating a lot of the weaker sections of the society. She presented a memorandum to Governor regarding her assessment of the working of the State Waqf Board, condition of Shrines under the control of the Board and gave suggestions for making working of the State Board more effective and transparent in its programs. She also requested Governor for constitution of a Hindu Shrines’ Board in Kashmir as per aspiration of Kashmiri Pandit Community.
Governor assured Dr. Andrabi that all these important matters would be given due consideration and urged her to continue sustained endeavours towards ensuring Public welfare and restoration of peace and normalcy in the State.
