The removal of the Director General Police Dr S P Vaid and his posting on an insignificant position has conveyed in unequivocal terms the message to the top babus of Jammu & Kashmir government that those failing work at the whims and wishes of the Modi government won’t be allowed to hold key positions in the state. The removal of the Director General Police S P Vaid and placement of an interim Director General Police is in itself an indication that the central government did not want vaid to continue even for a day now obviously for his actions in freeing the father of a top militant commander in lieu for the freeing of eleven policemen by militants.
