Srinagar: P.L. Gupta, Chief Vigilance Commissioner, J&K and Gazzanfer Hussain, Vigilance Commissioner, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here Saturday.
CVC briefed Governor on the current status of the work being done by the State Vigilance Commission and the special efforts which are being made to enhance the accountability of the administrative system.
Governor advised the CVC to speed up the processes of the Commission to see that the corrupt elements are effectively dealt with, if transparency is to be introduced in the functioning of the public institutions.
