Official panel to formulate welfare scheme for workers in unorganized sector

Srinagar: The Governor’s Administration today constituted a committee to formulate welfare schemes for the workers in unorganized sector.
According to an order issued by the General Administration Department, the Administrative Secretary, Finance Department will be the chairman of the Committee.
The members of the Committee include Administrative Secretary, Planning, Development and Monitoring Department, Administrative Secretary Labour and Employment Department, Administrative Secretary Technical Education Department, Administrative Secretary Social Welfare Department and Administrative Secretary School Education Department.
The terms of reference of the committee shall be to formulatecomprehensive welfare scheme(s) for unorganized workers by taking a holistic view/review of various schemes available to workers/labor class through different departments of the State.
The committee shall be serviced by the Labour & Employment Department and shall submit its report/recommendations within a period of three months.
