Srinagar : Sonali Mishra, Inspector General BSF, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here Tuesday and briefed him about the obtaining security situation in her area of responsibility.
IG Mishra briefed Governor about role and responsibilities of BSF during the annual Amarnath Yatra.
Governor lauded the role being played by the BSF every year for the smooth conduct of Amarnath Yatra and advised the IG to ensure enhanced surveillance along the borders and stringent enforcement of counter-infiltration grid throughout the ensuing winter period, side by side, maintaining the welfare of personnel who are engaged in discharging difficult duties.
