Srinagar/Sept, 3 : Noted Human Rights Activist and A leader of Jammu and Kashmir Coalition of Civil Society Khuram Parvez has asked the government to stop detaining relatives of militants or politician as such exercise won’t change anything in Kashmir as experience in the past.
Taking to micro blogging social networking website twitter Khuram Parvez said “In 1988, militant commander Javed Mir’s father was arrested. In 1989, political leader Shabir Shah’s father was tortured to death during detention. Many persons for being relatives of militants or politicians have been detained in last 30 years. Nothing has changed, except the response of the oppressed. Non-combatants must not be targeted at all”
