Kargil: Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kargil, S K Bhagat Saturday inaugurated the Munsiff Court Building and then the Legal Aid Clinic Padum Zanskar, in presence of Munsiff Zanskar, Chemit Yurgyal, officers of the Zanskar sub – division and the local people.
After the inauguration ceremony, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kargil, S K Bhagat attended the Legal awareness Program organised by the Tehsil Legal Service Committe Zanskar at Duzin Photang School, which was also attended by more than five hundred people from far flung villages of Zanskar sub division and the students from Duzin Photang School, Lamdon school, Govt. Higher secondary School Padum, Govt. Degree college Padum.
The program was chaired by the Chairman DLSA Kargil, S K Bhagat, who stressed upon the importance of the Para legal Volunteers in the present time and their role in educating the public about their legal rights and the various social welfare schemes of the government, Chairman DLSA Kargil also enlightened the audience about the Legal Aid Clinic, easily accessible to everyone for any legal relief or assistance needed to know about social welfare schemes.
Munsiff Zanskar, Chemit Yurgyal and President Bar Association Kargil Advocate Khadim Hussain discussed on the various Legal issues and on the fundamental Rights. Advocate Stanzin Dachom who discussed the importance of the Legal Aid Clinic and the functions of the Tehsil Legal Service Committee in the vernacular language. Public Prosecutor Kargil Advocate Kacho Manzoor delivered the vote of thanks to the Chairman, DLSA Kargil.
