Police picks up Riyaz Naikoo’s father for ‘questioning’

Srinagar : Police detained the father of Hizb Commander Riyaz Naiko during a nocturnal raid in Beighpora Awantipora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A top police official while confirming it said that Assadullah Naiko has been detained for questioning.
Riyaz Naikoo alias Muhammad Bin Qasim is the Chief Operational Commander of local militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen whose audio messages frequently go viral on social media networking sites. In his latest audio message, Riyaz Naikoo threatened media personnel for taking sides while he also threatened action against those who will participate in upcoming Panchayat polls.
Meanwhile, Forces arrested seven persons in multiple nocturnal raids in Muran area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The detained persons have been identified as Mohd Isahaq Wani (17) son of Mohd Yousuf, 11th class, Irfan Wani (24) son of Abdul Rashid (bread maker), Amir Ahanger (19) son of Abdul Hamid (painter), Muahammad Ashraf Mir (32) son of Bashir Ahmad Mir (carpenter), Suhail Tramboo (18) son of Muhammad Ahsan, Sameer Sheikh (18) son of Abdul Lateef and Tauseef Shiekh (18) son of Abdul Salam (painter), all persons are the residents of Muran village.
