Five days Sit -in protest of RET teachers entres in second day

Jammu/Srinagar: Five days sit- in protest of RET teachers continued on Wednesday for the second consecutive day in both Srinagar and Jammu over the demand for implementation of seventh pay commission.
Teachers across the state staged sit -in protest at Partab park Srinagar and press club Jammu on second consecutive day today on Wednesday. The five days sit in protest call was given by the Jammu Kashmir rehbar- e- taleem teachers forum (JKRETTF) headed by its state chairman Farooq Ahmed Tantary.
In Srinagar the protest were lead by forum State chairman FA Tantary and in Jammu it were lead by forum senior vice chairman bhupinder Singh.
At Srinagar teachers from all the districts staged their protest against the callous attitude of government towards the rehbar- e- taleem teachers of the state. While speaking forum chairman Farooq Ahmed Tantary said that government has stopped their seventh pay commission on unknown reasons and about 40 thousand teachers of the state are on roads demanding for their rights. He said that they are state employes they have service books, they got time bound promotions even 6th pay commission was given them by the government in past. He said that the non release of their seventy pay commission in their favour is callous attitude of government towards the thousands of regulized teachers of the state. He said that they are regularized general- line teachers according to government order number 396.He said that government is violating his own order which they issued to the teachers of the state. Tantary more said that state government has appointed about 65 thousand RET teachers across the state and about 37 thousand RET turned General line teachers among them are still waiting for their seventh pay commission which were stopped by the government on reasons best known to government.
He said that they are on roads for their rights but government is taking still deaf ears towards the this genuine and humman issue. He said that teachers of the state have joined this job on the megar salary of rupees 15hundres to 3 thousand for first five years and they spent their glorious five years of life on this salary on the basis of Job security.
Agitating techers said that if their seventh pay commission were not released soon they will intensify their strike and we’re come on roads with their children’s.
Others who was present in the sit in protest including vice chairman Talib hussian, state organiser Javeed Gul, state sec ZD beigh, Media analyst Majid Marouphay, Provincial president Rahi Irshad and other district and zonal presidents of the forum was present.
In Jammu teachers from all the districts of Jammu province are on sit in protest at Press Club Jammu. The protest were lead by forum senior vice Chairman Bhupinder Singh, Khalil, MA wani,khaleel Khan provincial president Aftab Malik and other state and district apex body members of the forum. They said that their protest is continue till 1st of September and if government failed to release their pay commission they will intensify their protests across the state with there children’s and civil society. While speaking to the agitated teachers leaders said that there struggle is continue till the release of their 7th pay commission. They said that regularization were stopped, time bound and increments of the teachers were stopped by the government which injustice with the thousands of teachers of the state. Others who was present in the protest in Jammu including district President Ramban Farooq rounyal, Bhadur Singh rasyal, Ishaq Rashid, Hamid Nabaz, Hafiz bhat, Javeed Chohan, pritem Devan and other forum leaders was also present.
