Srinagar: Scores of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers have gathered inside the premises of directorate of school education Kashmir (DSEK) to press for their pending demands.
The teachers have staged a peaceful protest under the banner of JK Rehbar-e- Taleem teachers forum (JKReTTF) and are demanding benefits of 7th pay Commission and de-linking of their salary from MHRD funding .The forum has already announced two-day lockdown of schools upto middle classes on August 20 and 21 as a mark of protest against the government’s “indifferent attitude” to address their demands.The forum has threatened to intensify their protest if government failed to resolve their issue.
