Srinagar: Panic gripped Mehjoornagar when some civilians found a live grenade in a park in the summer capital, Srinagar on Monday.
Official sources said that police was immediately informed after some people found the grenade in a park in Mehjoornagar on Monday afternoon. “The area was sealed and all those present in the park were taken to safe place,” they said.
They said Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was immediately summoned and the grenade was later taken to police station. “Police have registered a case and initiated investigation,” they added.
