Srinagar: At least four Indian soldiers sustained injuries after a gunfight triggered between militants and army in Nowgam Sector of North Kashmir’s Handwara town.
Official sources said that an encounter triggered between the 08 Bihar Army and the infiltrators, the infiltrators managed to get the access at Sangam post Nowgam sector Handwara in district Kupwara, triggering an encounter.
The official added that so far four army personnel have been injured during the encounter.
The exchange of fire between infiltrators and the army is going on. “Army has cordoned off the dense forest area and efforts are on to track down the armed infiltrators,” said an official.
