IJammu : 72nd Independence Day was celebrated at Central & District Jail Jammu with great enthusiasm and greetings were exchanged by the participants and the Jail inmates. Celebration started by hoisting of National Flag by Superintendent Central Jail Harish Kotwal and Sr. Superintendent District Jail Dinesh Sharma in their respective jails.
Splendid cultural program was also organized by the Jail inmates and staff which witnessed by Jail Officers, CRPF Officers and Jawans. At the end of the program, sweets were distributed among all the participants including jail Inmates. Bara Khana was also arranged for the Jail Inmates.
On the occasion four convicted prisoners were released by the Government vide SRO No.349 Dated 14-08-2018 and one inmate was released from District Jail Jammu.
