Srinagar: Unknown gunmen on Monday evening fired upon the vehicle of Peoples Democratic Party youth leader Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district. However, Parra escaped unhurt and reached his destination safely.
Reports said that armed men targeted his Bolero vehicle near Handjan village on Monday evening. Reports added that a couple of shots were fired upon Parra’s vehicle, however, he escaped unhurt.
Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra while confirming the incident said that a couple of bullets were fired upon his vehicle in Budgam village. “Fortunately, nobody was hurt in the incident,” Parra said.
SSP Budgam Tajinder Singh said they received a complaint telephonically from the complainant that his vehicle was fired upon at Handjan village. “We took the cognizance of the complaint and accordingly registered an FIR. The investigation has been taken up,” he said.
