Srinagar: Senior BJP leader and former Minister Chowdhary Lal Singh on Tuesday has in an indirect reference said that cracks have developed in BJP like they developed in a “Kacha” wall. He also accused former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti of dubbing people of Jammu as “pro-rapists and communals”and said the PDP president devastated Kashmir.
Local news gathering agency KNS quoted , Lal Singh as saying that he will announce future course of action after 15th of Aug. When asked if he had any animosity with BJP, Singh said ‘My mother used to ask me to paste mud patches on the cracks of a Kacha wall and would again ask to do it again after the previous one dried and finally the Kacha wall would fall. I started my campaign against Mehbooba government for dubbing Jammu people pro-rapists and communalists with a demand for handing over of the Rasana case inquiry to CBI. I took the campaign to Jammu city over the demand for handing over of the Rasana case inquiry to CBI and I held Dogra Swabhiman rally in Jammu to press hard for the demand. Now I will announce future course of action after August 15”.
Appealing people of Jammu and Kashmir to maintain unity and religious brotherhood in all the three regions of the state Lal Singh exhorted people to celebrate Independence daily with the spirit of nationality, peace, progress and prosperity. when asked about the case filed against article 35 A in the Supreme Court Lal Singh said ‘I am not bothered whether article 35 A remains or goes but I am deeply concerned about equal rights of the men and women of Jammu and Kashmir. I am also deeply concerned about the empowerment of women of Jammu and Kashmir. No compromise on this count’.
Accusing former Chief Minister and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti of devastating Kashmir and ruining Jammu the top estranged BJP leader Lal Singh said ‘Mehbooba who held the home department portfolio allowed searches and bloodshed in Kashmir and tried to instigate religious, sectarian and linguistic divides in Jammu region. He claimed that people of Jammu are united and speaks in one voice whether they are dogras or Kishtwaris or Gujars or bakerwal or Bhaderwahis or Poonchis.
Claiming that Rasana girl raped and murdered brutally is the daughter of Jammu people Lal Singh said people of Jammu have stood up for justice to Asifa and questioned that If Mehbooba Mufti carried out a rigorous campaign for CBI inquiry into the mysterious death of two Shopian women then why she raised objections over demand for CBI inquiry into the Rasana case.
