Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front leaders and activists on Tuesday offered funeral prayers in absentia for Reyaz Ahmed Dar, a close associate of JKLF founder Mohammad Maqbool Bhat, in Srinagar.
The JKLF spokesman said that scores of the people gathered at Maisuma Srinagar and offered funeral prayers in absentia in respect of slain Reyaz Ahmad Dar who breathed his last on Tuesday at Muzaffar Abad, in Pakistan administered Kashmir.
According to the spokesman, Dar was a close associate of Muhammad Maqbool Bhat and remained in jail for 14 years. JKLF Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, Bashir Kashmiri also participated in the funeral prayers.
