Srinagar: Tral town in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district remained shut on fourth straight day on Monday against the detentions.
Posters bearing stamps of the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant outfit had surfaced in the town early morning Monday, asking people to observe shutdown until the release of the detainees. Eleven persons, including students, employees and traders, were detained during a night raid last week following a string of attacks on special police officers (SPOs) in the area. Most of those detained are relatives and family members of active Hizb militants.
All shops and other business establishments remained closed in the town while traffic was off the roads.
