Full dress rehearsal of I-Day celebrations held across Kashmir division

Srinagar: In connection with the 72nd Independence Day celebrations, full dress rehearsals were held in all the districts and Tehsil headquarters of the Kashmir Valley and Ladakh region Monday.
At Srinagar, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, unfurled the national flag and inspected the parade and took the salute at the march past at Sher-i -Kashmir Stadium.
The march past was presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, BSF, Women Police, State Disaster Response Force, Fire and Emergency Services. Besides, contingents of Forest Protection Force and students from different schools also took part in the march past.
Department of Information and J&K Cultural Academy presented colourful cultural events besides Dare Devil and Marshal art events were also appreciated by the viewers.
On the occasion, DGP, S. P. Vaid, ADGP Muneer Ahmed Khan, Inspector General of Police Kashmir, Swayam Prakash Pani, Additional Director Generals of Police, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr. Syed Abid Rashid Shah, divisional and senior Police officers were present.
At Anantnag, a full dress rehearsal was held at Government Degree College Anantnag (Boys). Additional District Development Commissioner, Reyaz Ahmad Sofi took the salute at the march past presented by contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, NCC and school Children participated in the march past.
At Budgam, the full dress rehearsal was held at Sports stadium Budgam. The Additional District Development Commissioner Budgam, Khurshid Ahmad Sanai unfurled the national flag and took the salute at the march past presented by contingents JKP, JKAP, CRPF, NCC, Home-guard, Fire and Emergency Services.
Officers from the civil administration, police, and army were present.
At Baramulla, a colourful full dress rehearsal was conducted at District Police Lines Baramulla Monday. Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Farooq Ahmed Baba unfurled the tricolour and took the salute at the march past presented by JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Fire and Emergency Services and NCC.
On the occasion, senior officers of civil administration, Police department were present.
At Shopian, a colourful full dress rehearsal was conducted at District Police Lines Shopian Monday. Additional Deputy Commissioner Shopain, Parvaiz Sajad Ganai unfurled the national flag and took the salute at the march past presented by JKP, CRPF, Home Guard and School children. Cultural Programs were also presented on the occasion.
On the occasion, senior officers of civil administration, Police department were present.
At Pulwama, the full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Lines, Pulwama. The Additional Commissioner Revenue, Qazi Masood unfurled the national flag and took the salute at the march past presented by JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Fire and Emergency Services.
At Kulgam, a full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Lines, Kulgam. The Additional Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Sheikh Ghulam Hassan unfurled the tricolour and took the salute at the march past presented by JKP, JKAP, CRPF, NCC Fire and Emergency Services.

At Bandipora, a full dress rehearsal was held at Sher-i -Kashmir sports stadium, Bandipora Monday. The Assistant Commissioner Revenue Bandipora, Hamida Akhter inspected the parade and took salute on the march past presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, and students from different schools.
Officers from civil administration, police, and army were presented on the occasion.
Full dress rehearsal functions were also held at Sumbal and Gurez also.
At Kupwara, a full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Lines, Kupwara. Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir took salute at the march past presented by contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, FPF, Fire and Emergency Services, Home Guards and Police Band.
Officers from civil administration, police, and army were present.
A similar function was also held at DPL, Mini- Secretariat Tanghdar and Karnah.
At Ganderbal, a full dress rehearsal was held at Madri Meharban Stadium, Ganderbal. The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Naseer Ahmad Wani unfurled the tricolour and took the salute at the march past presented by JKP, JKAP, CRPF, forest protection Ganderbal Force, ITBP and Fire and Emergency Services.
Officers from the civil administration, Police and Army were also present on the occasion.
At Kargil, a full dress rehearsal was held for 72nd Independence Day at Khree Sultan Choo Sports Stadium Kargil Monday.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Kargil Sonam Chosjor unfurled the tri-colour and took the salute at the march past presented by JKP, NCC, 6th Btn Rajputana, women contingent and students of 17 different educational institutions of the district.
Colourful events were also held in which troops of Academy of Art, Cultural and Languages and students of various educational institutions displayed the cultural traditions and heritage of the district.
Meanwhile, the full dress rehearsal was also held at sub-division Drass, Zanaskar, Chiktan, Sakoo and Shargole.
At Leh, A colourful full-dress rehearsal of Independence Day celebrations 2018 was held at Polo-ground here. The Deputy Commissioner Leh, Avny Lavasa, took the salute at an impressive parade.
Personnel from the armed forces and schoolchildren participated in the event. Cultural programs were also presented on the occasion by the school children and artists of Information Department Leh.
SSP, Leh Sargon Shukla and other government officials were also present on the occasion.
Likewise, full-dress rehearsal for the Independence Day celebrations was also conducted at Nubra- Diskit, Nyoma and Khalsi Sub Divisions.
