Srinagar: Barely twelve hours after his abduction, the bullet-riddled body of a youth from south Kashmir’s Pulwama district was recovered Monday morning, police said.
An official said the body of 24-year-old Gulzar Ahmad Bhat was recovered Monday morning from a field in his native Murran village. He said the militants barged inside his house last night and abducted him.
“Later on, police recovered the bullet riddled body of Gulzar from the nearby fields of Murran Pulwama,” said the official.
Police has registered a case and initiated investigation, he said. “Initial investigation in the matter suggests that in this incident Zahoor Thokar & Showkat Dar led group of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen outfit are involved in this Killing,” he claimed.
Bhat reportedly ran an eye clinic in Bijbehara town of Anantnag district.
