Srinagar: Body of a youth, who went missing from south Kashmir district of Kulgam, was recovered from Vaishaw nallah on Sunday.
Official sources told UNI that panic gripped village Matalhama when some locals saw body of a youth floating in Vaishaw nallah on Sunday afternoon. “The locals immediately informed the police,” they said, adding a team was rushed to the area and the body was fished out.
The deceased was later identified as Danish Parray, who went missing from his home in village Mutalhama on August 7. “The family members of Parray had filed a missing complaint in Police Station Kulgam, following which the whereabouts of the youth was being ascertained,” they said.
After complaint all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites. “Initial examination has reviled that there were no injury marks on the body of the youth,” they said, adding police have registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident.
