Hanwara/Aug, 11:: A deadly infectious disease has panicked people in Jagarpora villager of Handwara area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district. Though locals allege that authorities are turning a deaf ear to the public outcry against continuing official apathy but Deputy Commissioner Kupwara refutes the allegations claiming that he is personally monitoring the situation.

Locals said that we are finding it hard to tackle the crisis as more and more children are getting infected  with a mysterious disease that causes vomiting . ‘Our children have been badly hit by this mysterious disease. Authorities are not paying any heed towards our plight, said the locals.

Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Khalid Jehangir told Kashmir Horizon that people need not to get panicked in the  wake of a disease in Jagarpora Handwara Village adding that ‘it was just a case of infection that leads to vomiting’ . Deputy Commissioner said that he is himself monitoring the situation and had sent medical teams to the area for providing medical facilities and proper treatment to the affected people.
