Srinagar: Al-Umar Mujahideen, a militant outfit on Friday called for a complete shutdown on August 15, Independence Day of India and said that the day will be observed as ‘black day’ in Kashmir.
Mushtaq Zargar told local news gathering agency CNS over phone that “14 August will be observed as the freedom celebration day while as the 15 August will be observed as black day.”
He said that “observing Aug 15 as black day will continue until the Indian forces leave Kashmir. Kashmir issue can only be resolved through armed struggle. We will continue to fight until the forces vacate from the occupied land of Kashmir.”
