Nilofer Khan new Registrar KU, Dr Tanveer Shah Spl Secy to VC

Srinagar: Dean College Development Council (DCDC) University of Kashmir Prof Nilofer Khan has been appointed as new Registrar KU relieving Prof Khursheed Bhat of Department of Commerce of the additional charge of Registrar. An order to this effect was issued on Thursday, August 09,2018.
“Dr Khursheed Ahmad Butt, Professor Department of Commerce is relieved from the additional duties as Registrar from 09-08-2018. Consequent upon the above, Prof Nilofer Hassan Khan, Dean College Development Council shall, in addition to her own duties, function as Registrar till further orders,” reads an order No: F(Registrar-1)Adm/KU/TW/18 dated :August 09,2018 issued by Deputy Registrar Administration- Teaching Wing.
It is in place to mention here that Prof Nilofar Khan who is also Coordinator Womens Studies Centre KU has been former Dean Students Welfare KU, former Dean Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology and former Director Institute of Home Sciences.
In a separate order Dr Tanveer Ahmad Shah, Joint Registrar, Development KU has been appointed as Special Secretary to the Vice Chancellor thereby relieving Faheem Aslam who was working as PRO to Vice Chancellor.
“Dr Tanveer Ahmad Shah, Joint Registrar, Development shall function as Special Secretary to Vice-Chancellor in addition to his own duties with immediate effect. Consequent upon the above, Mr Faheem Aslam P.R.O to Vice –Chancellor is hereby relieved to join his previous place of posting forthwith,” reads an order No.F(Transfer-Gen.Admn) KU/18 dated :August ,08,2018 issued by Deputy Registrar General Administration.
Before being appointed as Deputy Registrar at KU in 2013 KU Dr Tanveer Ahmad Shah was working as Deputy Registrar at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University and prior to that he was working as Sr. Manager –cum-Deputy Director JKEDI.
Meanwhile the university fraternity has hailed the appointment of Prof Khan and Dr Tanveer and thanked Vice Chancellor KU Prof Talat for taking positive initiatives aimed at bringing more vibrancy to the KU campus.
