Ladoora gun battle: Body of one more militant recovered, death toll rises to 5

Srinagar: Body of one more militant was on Thursday morning recovered from an encounter site in the Ladoora forests of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district and with the recovery of the body of this militant the number of militants killed in the gunfight since Wednesday this week has risen to five, the Army said here.
The body of one more militant was recovered this morning from the encounter site in the Ladoora forests in the Rafiabad area of Baramulla district in north Kashmir, said an army official.
He added that the number of militants killed in the gunfight so far had risen to five.
Four militants were killed in a gun battle Wednesday this week after government forces launched a search operation in the forest area on Monday, following information about the presence of militants there. One army man was also injured in the gun battle. Weapons and other war-like stores were recovered from the encounter site, the Army official said
