New Delhi: India has conveyed its concern to Beijing over Chinese construction activities in Pakistan-administered-Kashmir (PaK) and has asked them to stop it, the Rajya Sabha was informed Thursday.
In a written response to a question in the Rajya Sabha, V K Singh, Minister of State in the External Affairs Ministry, said India’s consistent and principled position has been that the entire state of Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India.
He said that Pakistan was in illegal and forcible occupation of a part of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Government is aware of Chinese construction activities in PaK. The government has conveyed to the Chinese side, including at the highest level, its concern over these activities, which we see as violating our sovereignty and territorial integrity. We have asked the Chinese side to cease these activities,” Singh said.
