Srinagar: Strongly condemning the killing of a civilian in Army firing in Ramban in Jammu region, senior CPI (M) leader Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami on Sunday asked the authorities to probe the incident thoroughly to fix the responsibility.
“The circumstances in which the civilian was shot dead and another was injured in Kohli area of Gool tehsil in Ramban district needs to be probed thoroughly,” Mr Tarigami, who is the MLA from Kulgam, said.
He said losing precious human lives is most unfortunate and mere condemnation on such incidents isn’t enough.
Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, Mr Tarigami demanded compensation to the victim family.
