Srinagar: As many as 450 kanals of state and Kahcharai land was retrieved from encroachments in Chaterhama by the Revenue Department under the supervision of SDM East Srinagar Reyaz Ahmad Beigh. 15 rolls of iron mesh was also seized by the team during the drive.
The anti-encroachment team was assisted by forest and police officials. Besides, Tehsildar North, NT Harwan and other revenue officials were accompanying SDM east.
The District Administration Srinagar has requested the General Public to cooperate with the administration with regard to the anti encroachment drive launched. The District Administration Srinagar has cautioned all land grabbers against any move to encroach upon State/ Kahcharai/Common Land.
The land so retrieved anti encroachment drive shall be used for Community /public purposes.
